System Evaluation Technologies
The first step in developing and implementing a successful multi-year sewer rehabilitation program is to conduct a comprehensive structural and hydraulic assessment of the system. This is referred to as an Sewer System Evaluation Survey or pre-construction analysis. These processes and technologies are utilized in both sanitary and storm sewer evaluations. The field data and resulting engineering reports will drive the design processes for multi-million and billion dollar programs. It is the most important part of the program cycle. These courses will introduce you to these technologies and processes. You will be able to use these proven technologies as you design and manage these programs.
Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Surveys…Concept to Construction
Attendees of this course will learn about the tools, technologies and methods to effectively evaluate a sanitary sewer system. Case studies will show different SSES approaches.

Course Fee: $225.00
Flow Monitoring Technology and Applications
Flow monitoring is the most effective process to determine the hydraulic characteristics of a sewer system. This course introduces the licensee to flow monitoring technologies, project development, and reporting. The licensee will learn how effective flow monitoring results in powerful project management tools including how to rank sub-basin priority for Infiltration and Inflow, determine peak wet weather inflow rates and volumes, and how to establish a pre-rehabilitation flow baseline.

Manhole Inspections
Manholes contribute approximate 20-25% to the I/I present in sanitary sewer systems. This course introduces the licensee to the tools and technologies available for the inspection of manholes. Attendees learn about safety issues associated with this inspection process and how to manage the data that is collected during a manhole inspection. The course discusses the various types of manhole rehabilitation process that are available to the engineer.

Electro Scan Technology and Applications
This course introduces the licensee to the use and application of Electro Scan Technology. Case study will highlight the effectiveness of this technology in location and quantification I/I into a sewer system.

Course Fee: $110.00
Laser and Sonar Evaluation Technologies and Methods
This course introduces the licensee to laser and sonar technologies. Laser technology is an accurate tool to measure above flow line wall characteristics in sanitary and storms sewer systems. Sonar is used below the flow line to determine debris measurements within the pipe. Debris calculation software is then used to quantify the amount of debris.

Manned Entry Tunnel Inspection and Data Collection and Management
This course introduces the licensee to the challenges, methods, project approach and technologies involved deep tunnel inspection using a specialize dive team. The licensee will learn how to plan, organize, and implement a deep tunnel inspection using a specials dive team. Licensees will learn how to effectively collect and manage the data from the deep tunnel inspections.

Sonar Technologies for Sewer Rehab and Maintenance Programs
In World War II we used SONAR (Sound Navigation & Ranging) to locate enemy submarines. In 1990 SONAR inspecton of sewers began in Europe. This course introduces the licensee to sonar technology and its applications in the evaluation of large bore sewers. Case studies of a tunnel cleaning project highlights the effectiveness to this technology and process.

Sewer Line Rapid Assessment Tool (SL RAT) Technology and Application
The SL-RAT utilizes acoustic technology to provide real-time blockage assessment in 6-12” sewer lines. The licensee will learn how this technology works and see how it saves time and money to triage lines for further cleaning or non-cleaning.
